Description

For auction is for a vintage condiment bottle from the H.J.
Heinz Company. According to the Society for Historical Archaeology, it
originally held malt, cider, or tarragon vinegar, and dates from the period
1927-1943. It did not originally come with a screw top, but an aluminum closure
that required a threaded top, so there is no top for this bottle. Documentation
for this is cited in one of the pictures. The bottle measures just under 9
inches high and just over 3 inches in diameter at its largest point. Markings
on the bottom read “H.J. Heinz Company,” the number “211,” and “Pat 2.” There
is one more marking that I cannot make out.
Please examine the pictures and ask any questions prior to
bidding. Shipping is via US Mail. Thank you for looking.
